The Annual Lorne Proteomics Symposium has specially coordinated transfers form Melbourne city (WEHI) and Melbourne Tullmarine Airport to get delegates to Lorne and back in a safe and timely manner. Please click here for more details.
Alternatively, you can drive by car along the spectacular Great Ocean Road or travel by train. Information on public transport options to Lorne can be found on the V/Line website.

The Cumberland Lorne Resort is located directly opposit the swimming beach. The Resort offers a great range of complimentary leisure facilities including an indoor heated pool, gym, sauna, tennis and squash courts as well as surf equipment for hire.

With the competition swells at Bells Beach, gentler waves loved by beginners of all ages and a museum dedicated to the history of surfing, there’s a little bit of famous Australian surf culture for everyone. Or simply stretch your legs and take a beautiful beach walk. The surf swell softens at the town beach for easy, pleasant swimming.

For nearly 250 kilometres along the rugged south-west of Victoria, you’ll tour what’s known locally as the surf and shipwreck coasts, taking in one amazing view after the next. Otway Estate Winery and Brewery

Otway WineryOtway Estate Winery and Brewery is located in the northern foothills of the Otway ranges, 10 minutes south of Colac. The cellar door and Prickly Moses brewery outlet is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Visitors can taste a range of beers, ciders and wines produced at the estate and brewery, and can enjoy a light lunch in the café.
