2019 HUPO WORLD CONGRESS

In 2019 APS partnered with HUPO and successfully ran the 2019 HUPO World Congress. We developed an extensive program including 81 invited speakers,72 of which were international and a further 9 Australians. Delegates had access to a scientific program which included 6 major thematic streams, including the Human Proteome Project (HPP); Health and Disease; The Environment; Biological Applications of the Proteome; Enabling Technologies; and ‘Beyond the Proteome’.

Adelaide proved a great destination to hold the 2019 Congress. The Welcome Function highlighted the wonderful arts, music, wine, gourmet-yet-organic city of Adelaide while the Congress Dinner showed off the sporting side of Adelaide at the iconic Adelaide Oval. The Congress incorporated pre and post congress workshops that were held at the Adelaide Convention Centre and UniSA. The additional workshops extended delegate days at the conference and promoted multiple facilities in Adelaide.

Hosts: HUPO and Australasian Proteomics Society
Dates: 14 –19 September 2019 (including pre/post workshops)
Venue: Adelaide Convention Centre
No. of Delegates: 1,020
